As of this morning, the breaks in the major 16-inch water main that delivers water to the Grandview water tank have been repaired to allow for transmission and delivery of water to the Grandview water tank. The storage levels in the Grandview tank are slowly rising and are expected to reach normal levels on Monday (September 19th) or Tuesday (September 20th). City residents have done a great job of conserving water over the past day and a half. Although water levels are beginning to recover, the September 15th Emergency Declaration is still in effect until water levels in Grandview recover.
Please note that the Emergency Declaration was enacted to address a potential shortage in the quantity of water available to the City, not the quality of water. There are currently no issues associated with water quality.
Thank you for your understanding and patience as the City is working to ensure that we manage our water resources back to normal levels.
