Thank you for sharing your concerns about the issues going on at 2701 Foothills Avenue. Code Enforcement has an active case there whereas notices have been served to the owner regarding their weeds, trash, and inoperable vehicle violations. As well as informing them that people cannot occupy the home without utilities. We’re able to easily remove weeds and trash by hiring a vendor to abate the violations, then filing a lien against the property to recoup the costs. Inoperable vehicles however, take a longer process whereas we have to file a case with the courts to remove from private property, which is very lengthy process. We will send Code Enforcement to retag the property to ensure people are not living inside the home. However, if you see individuals inside the home, you need to the call the Police. Code Enforcement cannot physically remove individuals; just serve notices. We’re required to give property owners due process whereas we issue 1st, 2nd and Final Notices so please be patient with our process; we’re working on abating the Code Enforcement violations. The other issues you’re having with criminal activity will need to be addressed by the Police Department whereas your ticket will be redirected to the appropriate department (since Code Enforcement is already in the process of addressing the property maintenance issues). Thank you.
